The fritter was a little undercooked in the center, but the plantains were perfect.

And some delicious, peppery, homemade ginger beer, the sinus-clearing powers of which cannot be adequately illustrated here:

And then we watched the parade:





And we got to pretend that summer would continue for a while longer.
